The Apple A5 and A5X are systems-on-a-chip (SoCs) designed by Apple Inc. and fabricated by Samsung[2][3][4] to replace the Apple A4.
The A5 contains a rendition of a chip based upon the dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU[10] with NEON SIMD accelerator and a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU.
